Description
- Own the centralization and ongoing development of a client’s Depositary data platform
- Handle informational and transactional data from multi-source capture through structured, reliable, resilient delivery
- Structure and enhance data layers through Medallion Architecture
- Centralize, integrate, and process data from diverse sources
- Query, consume, and connect data from external systems through Kafka
- Monitor pipelines and data environments to maintain dependable operations
- Develop contingency strategies and plans that strengthen resilience, availability, and business continuity
- Evaluate scenarios, uncover improvements, and recommend scalable, sustainable solutions
- Help shape the data ecosystem’s architecture, integration, quality, observability, and resilience
- Advance the platform in preparation for future Machine Learning initiatives
Requirements
- Demonstrated Data Engineering experience with strong Databricks and Azure proficiency
- Practical experience applying Medallion Architecture
- Understanding of Data Mesh and domain-oriented distributed data architecture principles
- Experience centralizing, integrating, and processing data from multiple sources
- Hands-on knowledge of Kafka for querying, consuming, and integrating data across systems
- Experience monitoring data pipelines and operating data environments
- Strong command of resilience, availability, and business continuity, including contingency planning
- Architectural judgment to evaluate scenarios, identify enhancements, and recommend scalable, sustainable approaches
- Machine Learning knowledge is an advantage
- Senior-level autonomy, sound judgment, and critical-thinking ability
