Senior Data Warehouse Engineer - Hybrid

Description

  • Develop and maintain scalable ELT workflows with Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, and dbt
  • Track pipeline health, investigate failures, and resolve issues to maintain dependable data delivery
  • Collaborate with data analysts to translate business needs into efficient, clearly documented dbt data models
  • Update and improve data models as analytical requirements evolve
  • Administer and optimize the Lantern Analytic Platform
  • Evaluate query performance and apply appropriate data partitioning strategies
  • Improve data models to increase processing speed and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least five years of professional experience as a data engineer, data warehouse engineer, or comparable specialist developing production data pipelines
  • At least five years of production experience programming with Python and SQL
  • At least two years of hands-on Databricks experience, including Spark or PySpark, Delta Lake, and Workflows
  • Practical experience creating ELT or ETL pipelines with platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, or dbt
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing, including the design, development, and optimization of data models such as dimensional models
  • Experience tuning query and pipeline performance
  • Experience supporting analytics and reporting users while collaborating with analysts and cross-functional partners
  • Regular hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Copilot in engineering work
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Databricks Genie or Snowflake Cortex
  • Preferred: Background in healthcare
