Senior Data Analytics Lead – Remote in China

Lead analytics for Animoca Brands’ consumer products, focusing on retention, growth, monetization, and product performance. Turn data into experiments, actionable metrics, and decisions for product and executive teams.

Description

  • Own core metrics including activation, D1/D7/D30 retention, WAU, cohort behavior, channel- and market-level CPA, and leading indicators for transaction and subscription conversion.
  • Transform product, billing, and engagement data into clear business recommendations by diagnosing retention drivers, onboarding performance, expert and vertical user behaviors, and return on investment.
  • Create measurement frameworks, success metrics, and quantitative impact analyses for major launches, including the 3D World of Minds interface, native apps, and account-level subscriptions.
  • Partner with go-to-market and vertical product managers to size market opportunities, set targets, and run experiments with continuous learning loops.
  • Establish the daily and weekly reporting cadence used by leadership and build lightweight self-service dashboards.
  • Translate analysis into actionable recommendations for product, growth, leadership, and the board, and present findings in writing and meetings.
  • Apply AI across the analytics stack for querying, summarization, prototyping, and repetitive-task automation to improve analytical efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bring strong commercial judgment to data analysis, using unit economics, payback periods, cohort analysis, and lifetime value to make decisive recommendations rather than simply present charts.
  • Demonstrate advanced SQL skills, fluency with product and behavioral analytics tools, experience with modern data stacks, and proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language for deeper analysis.
  • Have successfully led retention, growth, or monetization analysis for consumer products, ideally in mobile, gaming, subscription, or high-frequency consumer categories, with work that materially influenced business decisions.
  • Work in an AI-native manner, using AI tools to accelerate analysis while clearly recognizing where model outputs are reliable and where they require scrutiny.
  • Show strong analytical judgment about which questions matter and maintain intellectual honesty when the data produces unwelcome conclusions.
  • Communicate exceptionally well by distilling complex analysis into one clear recommendation, making it accessible to nontechnical audiences, writing executive-ready summaries, and defending conclusions with data under scrutiny.
  • Bonus: Experience with gamified engagement metrics such as DAU, WAU, MAU, game progression, mission or level completion, and A/B testing or experimentation frameworks.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with subscription and payment data, such as Stripe, and transaction-fee economics.
  • Bonus: Experience with agentic AI, consumer AI, or creator-economy products.

Benefits

  • Remote work arrangement.
