Segment Marketing Director, Motion Control — Emerson Hybrid

Lead global segment marketing for Emerson’s Motion Control business, shaping market strategy, commercialization, portfolio expansion, and team performance.

Description

  • Join the Motion Control SBU Leadership Team and contribute to business direction
  • Own the global marketing strategy for the Motion Control segment
  • Assess target industries, applications, technologies, and sources of expansion
  • Develop market intelligence across sizing, segmentation, customer needs, competitors, and emerging developments
  • Shape market and growth recommendations for strategic planning, investment decisions, priorities, and resource deployment
  • Direct go-to-market planning for product introductions and major growth initiatives
  • Define market positioning, customer value propositions, messaging, and pricing approaches
  • Work with Product Management and Engineering to uncover future solutions and product opportunities
  • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing Communications on customer engagement, demand creation, sales tools, and training
  • Find portfolio gaps, adjacent markets, and opportunities for partnerships or acquisitions
  • Set performance indicators and regular operating processes for tracking commercialization and growth
  • Manage, mentor, and advance the Motion Control Segment Marketing team
  • Work across Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing Communications to support durable growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering, or a comparable discipline
  • Professional and people-leadership experience appropriate to the position’s scope and seniority
  • Track record of creating market strategies and converting customer and market intelligence into growth initiatives
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to half of the working time
  • Current and future authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
  • An MBA or another advanced degree is preferred
  • At least 10 years of related experience, including two or more years leading others, is preferred
  • Background in factory automation, motion control, or a closely related industrial technology sector is preferred
  • Experience building growth plans and bringing products or solutions to market in complex B2B environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with global sales channels, OEM relationships, distributors, and other factory-automation routes to market is preferred
