Recruiter I – Florida Remote

Recruit candidates and coordinate hiring for Ryder’s transportation and logistics operations in Florida. Manage recruiting workflows, account staffing, and relationships with hiring teams.

Description

  • Find, assess, and interview candidates.
  • Guide offer discussions through acceptance.
  • Handle administrative steps for contractor hiring.
  • Welcome and onboard new contractors.
  • Run established internal and external recruiting processes.
  • Fill all positions for assigned accounts.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with senior operations staff, hiring managers, Human Resources, and recruiting colleagues.
  • Share recruiting updates and inform managers about market conditions affecting contractor hiring.
  • Carry out recruiting plans using advertising, job fairs, and remote hiring methods.
  • Keep recruiting materials current.
  • Update managers on hiring progress and recruiting challenges.
  • Meet customer satisfaction goals by fully staffing assigned accounts.
  • Take on other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of full-cycle recruiting experience required.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and assignments required.
  • Customer service skills required.
  • Travel requirement: 0–10%.
  • Some roles may require employment and education verification, a motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or customer badging or background checks.
