Performance and Data Engineer – Q ENERGY, Toulouse (Hybrid)
Analyze the performance of Q ENERGY France’s wind, photovoltaic, and energy storage plants. Manage SCADA data, support reliable operations, and build automated dashboards for stakeholders.
Description
- Analyze wind, photovoltaic, and energy storage plant performance while maintaining reliable data
- Partner with Asset Managers to assess operating sites and systems
- Validate collected data, interpret results, and communicate actionable findings
- Work across departments to improve project profitability and plant performance
- Create automated dashboards for internal stakeholders
- Administer databases using MySQL and Power BI
- Support daily data administration, including access policies and permissions
- Own SCADA data historization and monitoring platforms
- Monitor SCADA systems and networks, diagnose issues, identify anomalies, and resolve operational problems
- Act as the technical contact for SCADA matters and operating-facility management
- Work with Development, Procurement, and Construction teams to enhance monitoring tools and exchange best practices
- Support facility reliability improvements and coordinate working groups
- Oversee the SCADA service provider’s contractual commitments during operations
- Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) prevention requirements
- Report events or hazardous conditions affecting people or the environment
- Take part in HSE training and awareness programs
- Apply and uphold quality policies and procedures
- Help maintain quality management system documentation
- Report nonconformities and support corrective actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and related projects
Requirements
- An engineering degree, ideally supported by broad multidisciplinary engineering training
- Strong technical capability and comfort working across disciplines
- Working knowledge of automation and control systems
- Working knowledge of IT and communications networks
- Basic understanding of high- and low-voltage electrical systems
- Clear and effective communication skills
- A collaborative, team-focused approach
- Capacity to work independently
- Ability to make timely decisions when circumstances demand it
- Professional working proficiency in technical English
- Previous renewable energy experience is a significant advantage
- Curiosity, self-direction, and enthusiasm for solving technical challenges
- Willingness to travel regularly to company sites throughout France, representing about 25% of working time
