- Support CPIS overpayment programs by working in client claims systems
- Review paid, adjusted, and offset claims in the client system
- Review and update member eligibility records
- Investigate questionable cases and communicate findings
- Record client-system findings in the appropriate related systems
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and team members
- Work independently according to established procedures
- Research insurance eligibility and medical claims
- Identify and process Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial claim overpayments
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Successfully complete pre-employment criminal background and drug screening
- Have basic knowledge of insurance procedures, insurance carriers, Medicare, and Medicaid
- Have experience with data entry or medical claims data entry processing
- Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Understand medical terminology and healthcare eligibility processes
- Demonstrate strong investigative, research, and critical-thinking skills
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate strong organization and multitasking abilities
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team
- Pass an internet speed test with download speed of at least 25 Mbps, upload speed of at least 5 Mbps, and ping of no more than 175 ms
- Be able to connect to a modem or router using an Ethernet cable
- Live in one of the listed eligible states
- Have a background in benefit or coverage concepts, preferred
