Junior Actuarial Analyst I, Property and Casualty Pricing at TD

Develop pricing strategies and regulatory rate submissions for TD Insurance’s Canadian property and casualty products. Support rate changes, risk controls, and analytical tools.

Description

  • Set regional rating strategies across products and insurers.
  • Choose rating levels and classification criteria that support growth and profitability targets.
  • Prepare regulatory submissions for rate changes.
  • Put approved rate changes into effect.
  • Support best practices and controls that reduce risk.
  • Follow established processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Help develop analytical tools and methods.
  • Track rate levels and performance through rate indications and planned pricing and business initiatives.
  • Report to the Pricing Manager.

Requirements

  • Bring one to three years of actuarial experience in property and casualty.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a related field.
  • Have completed all preliminary Casualty Actuarial Society professional exams.
  • Know Excel very well.
  • Be proficient in and interested in programming, particularly SAS, VBA, R, or Python.
  • Predictive modeling experience is a strong asset.
  • Have strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate analytical and synthetic thinking.
  • Take a customer-focused approach and work effectively with a team.
  • Be recognized for thorough, high-quality work.
  • For Quebec roles, be proficient in a language besides French to support or assist employees who need service in another language.
