Full Stack Engineering Manager – Privacy, Security & AI Governance (Remote, United States)

Lead full-stack engineering for privacy, security, and AI governance solutions serving technology clients. Build production systems, implement safeguards and integrations, and guide multidisciplinary delivery teams.

Description

  • Convert client objectives, risk factors, and policy obligations into solution architectures, product specifications, engineering backlogs, and delivery plans
  • Direct the architecture, development, integration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of production applications and services
  • Create APIs, automated workflows, integrations, dashboards, and related application components
  • Embed governance into development and deployment with automated checks, controls-as-code, policy enforcement, and continuous monitoring
  • Build prototypes, evaluate technical approaches, shape solution direction, and support proofs of concept, demonstrations, estimates, and pricing inputs
  • Own delivery scope, timelines, quality, engagement financials, and client satisfaction
  • Address implementation issues spanning applications, integrations, data, and deployment workflows
  • Lead cross-functional delivery teams and develop engineers through mentorship
  • Create reusable tools, documentation, knowledge-sharing practices, and engineering standards
  • Deliver capabilities for privacy, online safety, AI governance, sensitive data protection, data discovery and classification, DLP, encryption, PKI, and cryptography

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • At least 7 years of experience converting client requirements into solution architectures using REST APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns, or serverless services
  • At least 7 years of experience building and deploying production solutions with Python, Java, or Node.js
  • At least 2 years of experience delivering cloud solutions on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, including containers, CI/CD pipelines, and version control
  • At least 1 year of experience designing or deploying generative AI or large language model solutions for clients or production environments
  • Experience in one or more relevant areas, including digital trust, online protection, trust and safety, security, product compliance, privacy, AI governance, data protection, or cryptography
  • Experience leading technical workstreams, multidisciplinary teams, or engineering delivery teams
  • Experience managing scope, schedules, quality, risks, dependencies, and client communications
  • Experience coaching or mentoring professionals and contributing to proposals, estimates, prototypes, technical demonstrations, or business development
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25–50%
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Preferred: JavaScript or TypeScript with React or Next.js
  • Preferred: Technical controls for generative AI, LLM, or agentic AI applications
  • Preferred: AI-use-case inventories, risk classification, human oversight, tool-access restrictions, prompt-injection protections, logging, monitoring, or controls-as-code
  • Preferred: Experience in regulated environments involving SOX, PCI DSS, FFIEC, HIPAA, or GDPR
  • Preferred: Kubernetes, GitOps, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Neo4j, PyTorch, or TensorFlow
  • Preferred: Product roadmaps, technical backlogs, or reusable engineering assets
  • Preferred: Engagement with senior client stakeholders on architecture and risk decisions
