Enterprise Architect – Mission Technologies at Wright-Patterson AFB

Shape governance, business architecture, and IT architecture for Mission Technologies’ defense mission. Support AFRL/IZX operations in an on-site role at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Description

  • Develop and maintain architecture roadmaps, models, and views that support organizational strategy
  • Document architecture initiatives, capabilities, workflows, and approved standard components
  • Coordinate compliance with architecture policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define needs and create architecture solutions
  • Present architecture strategies, initiatives, and frameworks to relevant stakeholders
  • Deliver training and practical architectural guidance when needed
  • Update architecture models, frameworks, and representations as business and technology environments change
  • Contribute to the continuing mission of the AFRL/IZX division
  • Provide updates to the IZX Division Chief and Deputy Director
  • Work on site at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

Requirements

  • Demonstrate an enterprise-wide understanding of business strategy, processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
  • Identify structural concerns, functional dependencies, and duplicated work across organizational silos
  • Integrate and reconcile disconnected documentation and technical drawings
  • Use model-based representations to capture, consolidate, or break down complex and conflicting business information
  • Create high-level visual models to support business architecture analysis
  • Bring extensive experience planning and implementing business and IT initiatives
  • Model business processes with a range of tools and established techniques
  • Communicate exceptionally through written, verbal, and visual formats
  • Level 3 requires 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a master’s degree, 0 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate, or 9 years with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Level 4 requires 9 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 7 years with a master’s degree, 4 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate, or 13 years with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold an active TS/SCI clearance or be able to obtain one
  • CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification is desirable
  • Experience with DoDAF and TOGAF is highly desirable
  • Be available for 0–10% required travel
