Description

  • Monitor developments in data, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence.
  • Assess market trends and identify opportunities relevant to Telefónica.
  • Coordinate and technically evaluate RFIs, RFPs, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
  • Contribute to enterprise reference architectures and corporate data and AI standards.
  • Develop governance models that support scalability, interoperability, and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a technical liaison among corporate teams, operating companies, and technology providers.
  • Support adoption of enterprise architectures and inform strategic decisions.
  • Translate the technology and business impact of emerging solutions and trends.
  • Research and assess emerging technologies.
  • Define technical standards and governance frameworks.
  • Guide operating companies in adopting enterprise architectures.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of experience in data architecture, AI, technology strategy, or specialized consulting.
  • Background working in complex, internationally scoped enterprise environments.
  • Experience participating in technology selection and evaluation processes.
  • Knowledge of leading data and artificial intelligence vendors and solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across business functions.
  • Familiarity with modern data architectures, including Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric.
  • Expertise in data governance and end-to-end data lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of DataOps principles and practices.
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning architectures.
  • Knowledge of generative and agentic AI ecosystems, including RAG, agents, vector databases, and AI gateways.
  • Experience with API-based integration architectures and event-driven architecture patterns.
  • Ability to evaluate technologies, define RFIs and RFPs, and lead proof-of-concept projects.
  • Upper-intermediate B2 or C1 English required for international communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Fluent Spanish.
