Corporate Credit Analyst – Sydney (Hybrid)

Assess corporate customer and vendor credit risk for DLL’s asset-finance operations. Build financial analyses, prepare credit applications and support committee decisions in Sydney.

Description

  • Evaluate customer and vendor credit applications, contributing to approvals that meet expected risk-loss targets.
  • Perform financial analysis and modelling for new and existing clients across agriculture, construction, transport, industrial, healthcare, energy transition, office equipment and technology finance.
  • Work with back-office teams, sales and account management, credit and risk, legal, asset management and relevant external parties.
  • Gather customer and vendor information through designated systems and procedures, checking its completeness and currency.
  • Assess financial, asset, market, security, legal and contractual risks, and review or re-rate customers, end users, local vendors and local dealers.
  • Prepare credit application reports, make decisions within delegated authority on end-user applications and local vendor or dealer agreements, and present recommendations to senior credit authorities and committees.
  • Provide advice and support for local Credit Committee decisions and participate in the decision-making process.
  • Monitor and advise on credit and risk profiles, policies, regulations and sales mandates while coordinating related activities.
  • Help develop local credit and risk management policies, regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide information, support and training to front- and back-office stakeholders on credit and risk policies, processes and issues.
  • Report to the Credit Manager – Corporate and Commercial Finance.

Requirements

  • Degree in accounting, finance, commerce or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of relevant asset or equipment finance experience, with a DLA of at least AUD 1.5 million.
  • Advanced financial analysis capability.
  • Knowledge of vendor- and dealer-based asset finance partnerships, including commercial strategy and risk management principles.
  • Strong understanding of documentation, security and legal processes, including expert knowledge of PPSR application.
  • Ability to assess risks and returns in vendor, dealer and customer relationships and communicate findings in clear, professional credit applications.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent written, verbal and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work in support of the Credit team’s objectives.
  • Ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines.
  • Flexibility and focus when priorities change.
  • Capacity to manage high workloads and respond to requests promptly.
  • Consultative, collaborative approach to working with stakeholders.
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve issues for internal and external customers accurately and promptly.
  • Ability to share business and risk knowledge with DLL colleagues.
