Corporate Banking Analyst – Treasury & Payment Solutions (Toronto, Onsite)

Support BMO’s Treasury & Payment Solutions team in serving corporate, institutional, and government clients. Analyze client needs and help coordinate solution delivery across banking and functional teams.

Description

  • Assist senior Treasury & Payment Solutions sales professionals with originating, structuring, and delivering treasury, liquidity, payments, card, and working-capital solutions.
  • Develop client strategies, assess treasury and liquidity needs, and progress opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Prepare research, presentations, proposals, information requests, meeting materials, and pre- and post-call packages for clients and prospects.
  • Act as a responsive contact for sales inquiries and coordinate responses with internal partners.
  • Strengthen existing relationships and identify opportunities to grow product usage, revenue, deposits, and overall relationship value.
  • Evaluate client financial, operational, cash-flow, pricing, volume, and relationship information.
  • Convert complex data into actionable insights, financial analysis, and materials suitable for clients.
  • Follow market, industry, regulatory, and competitive developments and incorporate relevant findings into client conversations.
  • Coordinate sales activity from initial discovery through documentation, approval, implementation, and activation.
  • Work with product, implementation, service, risk, legal, compliance, operations, and Corporate Banking teams.
  • Monitor implementation progress, client commitments, billing, and open items; raise risks or delays and help resolve them.
  • Keep client, pipeline, pricing, activity, and relationship records accurate in Bank systems and files.
  • Contribute to calling plans, pipeline reviews, portfolio reporting, strategic initiatives, business priorities, and sales goals.
  • Develop internal and external relationships, participate in meetings, and present recommendations clearly.
  • Identify improvements to sales, service, reporting, and administrative processes and help put practical solutions into place.
  • Offer guidance and coaching to other Analysts when appropriate.
  • Follow the Bank’s risk management framework, policies, controls, and authorized risk appetite.
  • Complete work on time and to required standards for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Generally, 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A post-secondary degree in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in treasury, payments, corporate banking, transaction execution, client coverage, or complex project delivery is preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to interpret financial and operational information and turn it into useful recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce polished materials and engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated initiative, organization, and accountability for deliverables.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining accuracy under demanding deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and influencing capabilities.
  • Sound judgment and confidence working across functions in a complex organization.
  • Proficiency with relevant business applications and technology.
  • Willingness to learn new products, systems, and market developments.
