Compliance Analyst III – Onsite in Annapolis Junction

Compliance Analyst supporting regulatory compliance across government systems engineering activities. The role evaluates controls, audits, regulations, and security-clearance gaps in Annapolis Junction.

Description

  • Support the Compliance Group in maintaining corporate compliance with laws, executive orders, directives, and regulations governing mission activities
  • Perform scheduled and systematic reviews of internal control systems and audit trails
  • Recommend ongoing improvements to compliance processes and controls
  • Present compliance status and clearance gaps to the executive team
  • Develop a consistent control framework for domestic and international subsidiaries
  • Organize and support compliance training
  • Update procedures in response to new or revised regulations
  • Track, research, and assess existing, proposed, and newly enacted federal and state statutes and their effects on Agency and company operations
  • Advise departments on required actions, policies, conformance testing, and ongoing monitoring matters

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph is required
  • The company cannot sponsor new security clearances
  • A bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required
  • Requires eight years of relevant experience with an associate degree, seven years with a bachelor's degree, or five years with a master's degree
  • Two additional years of relevant experience may replace an associate degree, for a total of ten years of experience
  • Use critical thinking and reasoning to reach analytical determinations
  • Prepare documentation for compliance incidents or processes
  • Manage compliance incidents by identifying root causes and evaluating impact
  • Collect information on legal authorities and obligations
  • Communicate information and ideas clearly, concisely, and professionally
  • Use email, web browsers, word-processing software, and presentation graphics
  • Build and maintain professional relationships and networks
  • Write, edit, and review routine documents
  • Perform compliance examinations using investigative methods and established standards
  • Apply policies and compliance standards aligned with the organization's mission
  • Use compliance tools to audit, monitor, and collect oversight data
  • Train new team members
  • Apply risk-management processes
  • Identify and develop efficient approaches to completing work
