Azure Data Engineer in Bengaluru, India (Onsite)

Build Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and ServiceNow analytics and automation platforms for EY’s security technology services. Deliver operational intelligence, enterprise integrations, and AI-enabled workflows.

Description

  • Create and maintain enterprise analytics platforms with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, and Medallion architecture.
  • Develop scalable ingestion frameworks with Fabric Pipelines, Dataflow Gen2, Notebooks, Mirroring, Event Streams, and Shortcuts.
  • Integrate ADLS Gen2, Azure, Dataverse, SaaS platforms, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, and external cloud storage.
  • Administer Lakehouse data quality, governance, lifecycle controls, and performance optimization.
  • Develop semantic models, Direct Lake datasets, and Power BI reporting for executive, operational, and strategic use cases.
  • Define KPIs, operational metrics, trend and root-cause analysis, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Support AI Search, vector retrieval, cross-source correlation, predictive analytics, and generative AI recommendations.
  • Apply governance, security, lineage, auditing, and compliance controls across data platforms.
  • Build cloud-native automation with Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, Power Apps, and API-based integration services.
  • Orchestrate operational workflows for approvals, notifications, service requests, and security operations.
  • Create event-driven automation using Fabric Event Streams, Logic Apps, APIs, webhooks, and cloud integration services.
  • Connect Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Azure, security platforms, CMDB systems, inventory tools, and third-party SaaS applications.
  • Create reusable integration frameworks, APIs, connectors, and data exchange services.
  • Develop ingestion and analytics for telemetry, logs, platform health, incidents, requests, and service management.
  • Connect analytics and automation to ServiceNow for incident, request, change, approval, and operational processes.
  • Automate ticket creation, escalation, notifications, exception handling, and remediation.
  • Set CI/CD, deployment, testing, monitoring, logging, and operational support standards.
  • Support platform architecture, engineering standards, governance, resiliency, performance, and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with STS, Information Security, platform owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to identify automation opportunities and improve continuously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, data analytics, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of experience in data engineering, cloud engineering, automation, analytics, platform engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Security concepts, practices, and technologies knowledge is desirable, particularly experience supporting Security or Information Security teams.
  • Practical experience with Fabric Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, Dataflow Gen2, Notebooks, Semantic Models, Direct Lake, Fabric Pipelines, and Event Streams.
  • Strong SQL and Python/PySpark skills.
  • Experience designing Bronze, Silver, and Gold data architecture layers.
  • Strong knowledge of data, dimensional, and semantic modeling, along with Power BI best practices.
  • Experience working with data lakes and large enterprise datasets.
  • Understanding of data governance, lineage, auditing, security controls, and compliance obligations.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, and operational reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Power Platform solutions.
  • Experience building enterprise integrations with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and API-driven architectures.
  • Experience connecting cloud services, SaaS applications, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, and enterprise platforms.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and automation frameworks.
  • Experience with one or more of Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Event Hub, Azure Service Bus, or ServiceNow Platform.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment workflows.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, including Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Understanding of platform monitoring, observability, resiliency, and operational support practices.
  • Relevant Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Azure Data Engineering, Azure Solutions Architecture, analytics, integration, or automation certifications are preferred.
