  • Lead architecture for McKesson’s North American Pharmaceutical Distribution business.
  • Establish and direct the NAPD architecture function.
  • Oversee the end-to-end NAPD technology landscape across transformation programs.
  • Set architecture direction for Supply Chain Modernization, Pricing, Customer Performance Management, Sales Digital Tools, and Connect Ordering.
  • Lead and develop the NAPD architecture team, including hiring, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Maintain a portfolio-wide view of the technology estate.
  • Spot opportunities to eliminate duplication and rationalize systems before development begins.
  • Guide the NAPD Architecture Community of Practice in establishing patterns, standards, and shared design principles.
  • Evaluate architecture quality and consistency across programs.
  • Work with enterprise and data architects to deliver interoperable solutions aligned with the NAPD target state.
  • Set and carry out architecture strategy in support of digital transformation goals.
  • Implement architecture standards, governance frameworks, decision rights, technology lifecycle practices, and roadmaps.
  • Set API, integration, and interoperability strategies.
  • Work with executives and product leaders to prioritize investments and transformation programs.
  • Oversee architecture budgets and staffing.
  • Build and retain architecture talent while promoting engineering excellence and ongoing improvement.

  • Bring 13 or more years of experience in enterprise, solution, or application architecture, or a related strategic technology discipline.
  • Have at least six years of varied leadership experience directing architecture, technology roadmaps, cross-functional alignment, organizational planning, and teams, or equivalent experience.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
  • Have led enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives in complex organizations.
  • Bring expertise in enterprise architecture strategy, governance frameworks, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
  • Have experience designing and modernizing cloud-native, hybrid-cloud, and platform-based enterprise environments.
  • Know enterprise integration, API architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Have influenced senior executives and guided organization-wide technology decisions.
  • Have managed teams, budgets, roadmaps, and strategic technology investments.
  • Have established or advanced an architecture function and its operating model.
  • Be able to contribute to executive presentations, architecture reviews, workshops, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Preferred: A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Experience in pharmaceutical distribution, supply chain, order management, or pricing platforms in complex, regulated settings.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with LeanIX, Ardoq, or comparable architecture landscape and portfolio tools.
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft technologies, Azure cloud services, Power Platform, and enterprise platform engineering.
  • Preferred: Experience integrating SAP platforms with enterprise applications.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with AI and automation architectures.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of enterprise data architecture, governance, analytics platforms, and advanced data management.
  • Preferred: Experience working in highly regulated environments.
  • Preferred: Experience leading architecture review boards and technology governance councils.
  • Preferred: Organizational change leadership experience.
