Senior Clinical Programmer (DM/SAS) – Hyderabad Hybrid

Senior Clinical Programmer responsible for SAS-based clinical programming, validation, and data management support at Syneos Health in Hyderabad. Leads programming delivery across three to ten concurrent studies and supports clinical teams, sponsors, audits, and technical operations.

Tavsif

  • Design, develop, validate, and maintain clinical programming solutions using Medidata, Rave, Oracle OC/RDC, Oracle Inform, SAS, and related tools.
  • Create and maintain documentation for annotated CRFs, database builds, coding configuration, edit checks, data transfers, listings, and custom reports.
  • Coordinate and lead development work for clinical programming projects.
  • Contribute to project meetings, issue resolution, deliverable tracking, and escalation activities.
  • Provide technical assistance to clinical programmers, Project Analysts, Data Managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Administer core business applications and provide subject matter expertise and technical support.
  • Perform senior reviews of study-level, program-level, and multi-study core deliverables.
  • Participate in sponsor audits and support audits in progress.
  • Review study budgets, track scope of work, and oversee change orders.
  • Monitor applications for workflow alerts, system errors, and performance concerns while providing second-tier help desk support.
  • Conduct system integrations, application updates, and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide leadership, training, direction, and support to department colleagues.
  • Work with clients, peers, lead programmers, project teams, and requestors to finalize specifications.
  • Lead or support project and departmental review meetings and attend Quick Start Camps as the lead Clinical Programmer.
  • Lead clinical programming work across three to ten concurrent studies.
  • Manage project resources and notify management of delivery and resourcing requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical programming and clinical data management through literature, self-directed learning, courses, and professional meetings.

Talablar

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • At least five years of clinical programming experience.
  • Experience developing listings and creating macros.
  • Study build and SAS mapping experience preferred.
  • CDISC data mapping, external or vendor data mapping, and DIA experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Base and Advanced SAS certification preferred.
  • Experience in any therapeutic area is acceptable.
  • Ability to work effectively with sponsors and internal customers at all levels.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Experience in a matrixed organization preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and voicemail.
  • Experience with PL/SQL, SAS, C#, or VB preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed, up to 25%.
