Applied AI and Machine Learning Co-op Intern
Co-op intern developing LLM applications and data pipelines, while supporting production machine learning systems. Work serves healthcare, government, and energy institutions.
Opis
- Help design and deploy LLM applications that automate complex workflows
- Build and refine data pipelines
- Assist with model training, evaluation, and optimization
- Handle structured and unstructured data, including text, documents, and logs
- Prepare models and systems for production deployment and monitoring
- Work with senior engineers, AI researchers, and product teams
- Contribute to code reviews and design discussions
- Learn to navigate customer needs and real-world constraints, including those of public-sector institutions
Zahteve
- Currently a junior or senior undergraduate studying computer science, machine learning, data science, or a related subject
- Programming experience with Python
- Coursework or project experience in AI or machine learning
- Exposure to or interest in LLMs and generative AI applications, including agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and reasoning workflows
- Experience with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow, or willingness to learn
- Strong grounding in data structures and algorithms
- Expected to graduate between June 2027 and June 2028
- Authorized to work legally in the United States
- Available to work full-time in San Francisco, California, for the entire co-op term, January 11 through April 30, 2027
