Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Help secure and scale Progress’s cloud software infrastructure. Automate operations, incident response, compliance, and customer provisioning across India.

Descriere

  • Maintain the reliability, security, and performance of customer-facing systems and infrastructure.
  • Protect systems from breaches and maintain compliance with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and other standards.
  • Build and operate secure, scalable services on Azure, AWS, or GCP using cloud-native tools.
  • Automate recurring work, manage backups, and configure servers for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Deploy observability tools and improve system performance.
  • Identify and resolve system issues before they escalate.
  • Join on-call rotations and troubleshoot service incidents.
  • Lead post-incident reviews.
  • Work with developers, QA, and support teams in agile settings.
  • Coordinate complex customer account setups with Sales and Professional Services.
  • Promote infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • At least six years of experience in a senior SRE or similar role in production environments.
  • Strong Windows and Linux skills.
  • Scripting experience with Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with cloud services such as ECS, EKS, and S3.
  • Familiarity with security protocols and networking concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and TLS.
  • Familiarity with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and other compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with PCI, HIPAA, and SOC 2 compliance.
  • Experience with cloud-hosted applications or services, including Azure or AWS.
  • Ability to debug, optimize, and automate code and routine tasks.
  • Availability to work APJ hours, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. IST.
  • Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, and container orchestration experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
