Descriere
- Set editorial direction, tone, and standards for Nova Scotia publications to support audience growth.
- Lead employees in strengthening audience engagement.
- Oversee editorial teams across Nova Scotia, including the Chronicle Herald, Cape Breton Post, rural community titles, and a politics bureau.
- Make decisions on coverage, story treatment, and newsroom priorities while upholding editorial standards.
- Coordinate regional coverage, shared resources, and editorial strategy with other regional editors.
- Work across the Postmedia Network to advance journalism serving families and communities.
- Develop staff, strengthen newsroom capabilities, and create growth opportunities for high performers.
- Manage staffing, performance, labour relations, and other people leadership responsibilities.
Cerințe
- At least five years of experience as an editor, assignment editor, or in another senior newsroom leadership role.
- A proven record of sound editorial judgment, newsroom leadership, and decision making.
- Ability to lead people through change and work effectively with other leaders.
- Expertise in SEO, audience analytics, and digital content optimization.
- Experience publishing and managing newsletters, with an understanding of their role in loyalty, retention, and conversion.
