Aprašymas

  • Direct the planning, design, and delivery of substation engineering projects.
  • Set departmental goals, strategies, and operational priorities, then oversee their execution.
  • Review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance with codes, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Develop and refine department workflows, procedures, quality controls, and project delivery practices.
  • Track project progress, staffing, performance, schedules, budgets, and client commitments.
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, training, employee development, coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
  • Keep current on substation technologies, engineering practices, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Build a collaborative team culture focused on technical quality, accountability, communication, and ongoing improvement.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through meetings, site visits, business development, negotiations, and industry events.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary project delivery with PV and BESS, Civil, Geotechnical, Survey, Structural, and PMO leaders.
  • Prepare scopes of work, pricing proposals, project budgets, financial plans, and commercial terms.
  • Track project finances, profitability, resource use, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with engineering standards, regulations, safety requirements, and internal quality procedures.
  • Provide direct leadership during critical deadlines while balancing technical work, client needs, staff development, and business goals.

Reikalavimai

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Management or leadership experience in a substation engineering department or a closely related electrical engineering setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of substation engineering, design practices, project execution, and quality control.
  • Project management experience covering scope, schedules, staffing, budgets, and financial results.
  • Ability to lead technical teams, oversee multiple projects, and deliver quality work on schedule and within budget.
  • People management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills for working across departments, project teams, clients, and leadership.
  • Experience defining scopes of work, preparing proposals, contributing to pricing, and taking part in client negotiations.
  • Client relationship management skills and the ability to identify ways to strengthen partnerships and support business growth.
  • Ability to create effective workflows, improve processes, and promote consistent engineering and project delivery standards.
  • Business and financial judgment to balance quality, client satisfaction, profitability, and resource use.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills for complex technical and operational challenges.
  • Commitment to employee development, accountability, and a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and provide added support during critical project deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
  • Ability to work in person at the Minnetonka office at least two days per week.
