Senior Financial Crime and AML Technology Consultant

Senior consultant leading AML, fraud, and financial crime technology transformations for banking clients. Delivers AI-enabled solutions, technical leadership, and end-to-end implementation programs.

Description

  • Lead modernization and transformation initiatives for financial crime technology solutions as a Senior Technology Consultant
  • Use deep financial crime expertise to advise clients and build support for recommended solutions
  • Manage technology consultants and deliver large-scale programs as a project manager
  • Translate business requirements into relevant AML and financial crime product capabilities
  • Define and validate AML product customizations against client needs
  • Assess client processes and workflows and recommend changes that improve AML product value
  • Serve as a Technical Business Systems Analyst across one or more financial crime projects
  • Coordinate with onsite leads and customer representatives throughout project delivery
  • Deliver assigned work on schedule and provide regular status updates to project leadership and onsite coordinators
  • Travel to customer sites when project requirements call for it
  • Deliver AI governance, investigator copilot, intelligent alert triage, and case summarization capabilities
  • Apply alert prioritization, false-positive reduction, network analytics, fraud prediction, and SAR narrative generation techniques
  • Support product demonstrations, training sessions, and assessment engagements
  • Gather and document requirements and perform gap analyses
  • Review test cases and provide direction to testing teams when required

Requirements

  • Hold an MBA, MCA, BE, BTech, or equivalent qualification with 5 to 8 years of banking industry experience
  • Bring at least 6 years of AML, financial crime, or fraud transformation experience
  • Have 2 or more years of AI, machine learning, or generative AI implementation experience in banking or compliance
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in financial crime solutions and AML or fraud transformation
  • Have experience developing financial crime AI roadmaps spanning generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning, explainable AI, and regulatory AI use cases
  • Possess expert knowledge of NICE Actimize AML products, including SAM, WLM, Actimize Case Manager, and ActOne
  • Understand AML and financial crime products, scenario configuration, threshold tuning, alert generation, workflow setup, sanctions and PEP screening, adverse media screening, and alert optimization
  • Have experience with financial crime data models, data mapping, ETL, REST API integrations, and Java customizations
  • Have worked with cloud platforms, CI/CD, DevOps automation, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Be proficient in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and application support
  • Have experience working with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban delivery methods
  • Understand technical solution design, business requirements definition, analysis, and mapping
  • Have working knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, or Elasticsearch
  • Be proficient in at least one of Python, Java, or Linux and Unix shell scripting
  • Demonstrate end-to-end financial crime or fraud implementation experience across requirements, solution design, configuration, SIT, UAT, deployment, upgrades, migrations, and cloud transformation
  • Understand infrastructure design, data models, and application and business architecture at a high level
  • Have functional knowledge of AML and CTF transaction monitoring, KYC, and sanctions processes
  • Possess strong knowledge of SAM, alert investigation, SAR and STR processes, and AML risk assessment
  • Possess strong knowledge of WLM, sanctions screening, OFAC, UN and EU compliance, PEP screening, and adverse media screening
  • Have experience tuning scenarios, optimizing thresholds, reducing false positives, and assessing out-of-the-box versus custom capabilities
  • Have experience with KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions, PEP, adverse media, transaction monitoring, and case management modules
  • Understand case management workflows thoroughly
  • Demonstrate strong client-facing communication skills
  • Be able to review test cases and guide testing teams
