Senior Event Manager - London Onsite

Lead end-to-end event planning, logistics, supplier management, budgeting, and delivery for American Express Global Business Travel in London. Support event revenue growth, client reporting, and data-informed delivery improvements.

Description

  • Oversee all aspects of end-to-end event management, from planning and logistics to financial management and delivery
  • Manage each project from the initial venue proposal through post-event financial reconciliation
  • Deliver national and international projects from start to finish
  • Negotiate supplier pricing and contractual terms
  • Communicate effectively with meeting owners
  • Lead project teams throughout event delivery
  • Manage event databases, including planning and registration processes
  • Maintain accurate and timely event data
  • Coordinate event logistics across each project
  • Maximize event revenue while understanding overall contribution to revenue and profit and loss
  • Reconcile event budgets accurately
  • Apply company product knowledge and identify opportunities to cross-sell products
  • Analyze meeting data to improve future event delivery
  • Prepare event-level and client financial and data reports
  • Take on additional duties as requested

Requirements

  • Convention centre experience is desirable
  • Experience with an event agency is desirable
  • Fluent business English
  • Additional language skills are beneficial
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer care
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • At least three years of event management experience
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Comfort working under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
