Salesforce Architect (Barcelona, Hybrid)

Design scalable Salesforce and CRM architectures, integrations, and digital platforms for international customer-experience projects. Guide development teams, shape technical solutions, and support client engagements for Merkle.

Description

  • Design scalable CRM-domain architectures for high performance.
  • Design and optimize digital platforms.
  • Create and maintain software architecture documentation.
  • Protect architectural integrity and consistency throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to development teams.
  • Review and approve designs and code against established best practices.
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify business requirements.
  • Convert business needs into technical specifications and architectural designs.
  • Monitor industry developments and emerging technologies.
  • Lead continuous-improvement efforts within the development team.
  • Contribute to project planning and estimation.
  • Identify and reduce technical risks across the project lifecycle.
  • Define and uphold coding standards and engineering best practices.
  • Tune performance and optimize software systems.
  • Create and deliver technical reports and stakeholder presentations.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for pitches and client work.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of CRM platforms including Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Proven ability to design efficient, scalable, maintainable CRM solutions that integrate multiple systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Experience leading project development in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD and version-control tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
  • Ability to query databases to extract and report on customer data.
  • Working familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for CRM hosting.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
  • Expertise in GDPR, CCPA, other data-privacy regulations, and CRM security practices.
  • Experience with Apex, JavaScript, .NET, C#, and custom CRM logic and automation.
  • Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, middleware, and integrations with ERP, CDP, and loyalty platforms.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
  • Strong understanding of data segmentation, customer lifecycles, and personalization.
  • Experience diagnosing CRM technical problems and developing solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities and deadlines, and support junior team members.
