Presales Systems Engineer, PACA (Remote)

Lead technical sales for Pure Storage’s Enterprise Data Cloud across the PACA territory. Support customers with discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and RFP responses.

Description

  • Lead technical customer engagements across the territory through discovery, architecture, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical close for the Enterprise Data Cloud platform.
  • Develop activity in large accounts by identifying use cases and creating opportunities.
  • Present services and consumption models, including Evergreen//One and storage as a service, to IT and finance stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and regional channel partners.
  • Lead technical responses to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Share expertise with the national Systems Engineering team and support wins across districts.
  • Cover the PACA region from Marseille or Aix-en-Provence.
  • Spend approximately half or more of your time with customers, including regional travel and occasional team meetings in Paris.

Requirements

  • Bring at least five years of experience in a field presales, Systems Engineer, or Solutions Engineer role, ideally supporting a territory or multiple accounts.
  • Demonstrate broad infrastructure knowledge spanning compute, virtualization, networking, data protection, and their application in customer environments.
  • Have experience selling services, subscription offerings, or consumption-based models.
  • Work independently at a senior level, taking initiative and managing your own agenda.
  • Show curiosity and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Be based in or near Marseille or Aix-en-Provence and hold a driving licence.
  • Speak fluent French and professional English.
  • Enterprise storage experience is desirable but not required.
  • Experience with an infrastructure, data protection, or open-source vendor, or with a services company, is desirable.
  • Existing relationships with PACA-region IT teams are desirable.
