Remote Clinical Trial Contract Specialist – Argentina

Negotiate clinical trial site agreements, investigator budgets, and legal terms for Thermo Fisher Scientific. Coordinate with study startup teams to support site activation across international trials.

Description

  • Prepare, review, negotiate, and complete agreements with clinical study sites.
  • Negotiate investigator grant budgets and contract terms within approved limits.
  • Follow negotiation guidelines, delegated approval authority, contract processes, client needs, budget guidance, templates, and established procedures.
  • Evaluate legal, financial, and operational risks, escalating concerns when needed.
  • Recommend options and alternative solutions during investigator contract negotiations.
  • Work with internal teams on site startup and contract activities, coordinating agreed timelines.
  • Keep contract negotiations on the critical path to site activation.
  • Meet site activation cycle time targets.
  • Route issues outside approved parameters through established escalation channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with relevant formal academic or vocational qualifications.
  • 2–5 years of relevant prior experience.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills in English and the local language.
  • A sound understanding of contract law, including business, intellectual property, local tax, and stamp laws.
  • Ability to apply basic investigator grant negotiation principles.
  • General knowledge of business and financial principles related to service agreements.
  • Ability to draft and negotiate contract clauses and budget matters within approved limits.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical product development and CRO involvement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of PPD SOPs and WPDs.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and assess contractual risks and issues.
  • Proficiency with automated systems and computer applications.
  • Customer-focused communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to remain upright and/or stationary for 6–8 hours per day.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and move frequently.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects, luggage, and a laptop weighing up to 15–20 lbs.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to manage stress and multitask.
