ML/AI Engineer - Hybrid in Lebanon

Build and deploy forecasting, recommendation, and LLM features for Aspire Software’s Qmatic products. Develop production models, data pipelines, and agentic self-service workflows.

Description

  • Develop, train, assess, and deploy machine learning models for forecasting, classification, and recommendation functionality
  • Benchmark proposed models, conduct experiments, record technical decisions, establish evaluation standards, and monitor deployed models
  • Embed AI and LLM functionality into chat, automation, personalization, and agent-based product experiences
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot ingestion, transformation, feature, and data-quality pipelines across bronze, silver, gold, and platinum medallion layers
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders through demonstrations, launches, requirements sessions, and troubleshooting discussions
  • Convert customer and partner feedback into product and engineering priorities in collaboration with Product Management
  • Produce clean, maintainable, thoroughly tested software
  • Contribute to architecture, reusable patterns, and technical direction for emerging products
  • Investigate and resolve production problems involving models, data, and customer-facing incidents

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience developing and delivering machine learning or AI systems in production
  • Practical machine learning experience across the complete lifecycle, including training, fine-tuning, and evaluating classification, regression, or forecasting models
  • Ability to assess data quality, features, and model performance; benchmark alternatives and justify model selections
  • Strong Python skills and experience with open-source machine learning tools such as scikit-learn, XGBoost or LightGBM, and statsmodels
  • Strong SQL knowledge and API design experience
  • Hands-on production experience delivering AI or LLM functionality, including features such as RAG pipelines or vector databases
  • Experience working with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Experience creating cloud-based data pipelines and ETL processes within a medallion architecture
  • Experience deploying models and monitoring their production performance
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence in customer demonstrations, calls, and workshops
  • Flexible, product-focused, collaborative, curious, and accountable working style
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Reliable and delivery-focused, with the ability to provide realistic estimates and surface risks early
  • Active GitHub profile or portfolio demonstrating personal or side projects
  • Preferred: experience with Java, Spring, or Spring Boot
  • Preferred: exposure to generative avatar or video-rendering technologies
  • Preferred: familiarity with speech-to-text or transcription workflows, including multilingual voice input
  • Preferred: familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks or multi-step tool-use patterns
  • Preferred: experience with Go
  • Preferred: MLOps experience covering experiment tracking, model versioning, and drift monitoring
  • Preferred: working knowledge of Vue or React with Node.js
