Learning Designer Talent Pipeline – Cape Town Hybrid

Design online courses, MOOCs, and workplace training for OES’s international education partners. Develop storyboards, multimedia content, LMS materials, and GenAI-supported learning experiences.

Description

  • Create technology-enabled learning experiences grounded in advanced learning design practice.
  • Ensure learning materials meet OES quality standards and promote learner engagement.
  • Convert course blueprints into detailed storyboards in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Structure online content, develop learning activities, and incorporate multimedia components.
  • Build courses directly in the LMS or assist learning technologists with course production.
  • Work with production colleagues on course and video graphics guidance.
  • Contribute to internal quality assurance activities.
  • Apply GenAI tools to streamline workflows and encourage innovation in course design.
  • Own the quality and completeness of assigned deliverables.
  • Provide creative, practical solutions that meet project scope and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bring at least five years of experience in online, blended, or comparable learning design.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and conversation, with strong consultancy skills.
  • Design and develop courses across multiple LMS platforms, such as EdX, Canvas, and Bridge.
  • Work independently, stay motivated, and provide leadership within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of effective online and blended learning practices.
  • Coach colleagues and external stakeholders on learning design best practices.
  • Show clear interest in agile L&D design and technology-enhanced learning.
  • Apply strong attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach to design challenges.
