Head of Program Design, AI Curriculum (Hybrid – New York)

Lead AI and future-ready curriculum development at DREAM, a Bronx-based youth education nonprofit. Direct program design teams, partner implementation, and research-informed improvement.

Description

  • Own the design, development, and ongoing refinement of DREAM’s innovation curriculum and related products
  • Lead and grow the Innovation Program Design team
  • Define the strategic direction for DREAM’s innovation curriculum
  • Ensure curriculum products meet standards for quality, branding, packaging, and turnkey partner delivery
  • Develop curriculum focused on AI and future-ready skills
  • Create performance metrics, track outcomes, evaluate impact, guide improvements, and support strategic decisions
  • Teach and demonstrate effective classroom use of DREAM’s AI and future-ready skills curriculum
  • Monitor developments in AI and future-ready education, research, practice, and policy
  • Partner with technology developers across product design and development
  • Work with the Implementation Team to create Convening playbooks and learning experiences for AI partners
  • Partner with academic researchers to assess implementation effectiveness and strengthen curriculum and programs
  • Handle other related responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in education or a related field is preferred
  • At least 8 years of experience in education, including classroom teaching experience
  • At least 4 years of leadership experience in curriculum publishing, senior school leadership, education technology, and/or education consulting with close charter school collaboration
  • Expertise in AI literacy, project-based learning, experiential learning, technology-enabled learning acceleration, and high-impact tutoring
  • Proven ability to create polished, high-quality curriculum products for distribution to partners
  • Track record of managing or developing teams
  • Ability to follow AI developments and apply data to decision-making and curriculum improvement
  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, prioritization, and deadline management
  • Comfort working through complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Deep alignment with DREAM’s mission, values, and graduate vision
  • Strong belief in families as partners and leaders
