Finance Manager – Cisco (Hybrid)

Finance Manager role at Cisco overseeing OpEx, CapEx, COGS, and MDF investments. The position partners with Operations and Engineering on forecasting, governance, commercial analysis, and AI-enabled financial planning.

Description

  • Own end-to-end financial management for OpEx, CapEx, COGS, and MDF investments
  • Act as a strategic finance partner to Operations and Engineering
  • Oversee month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and related financial-cycle activities
  • Work with Accounting and Central Finance to review monthly OpEx and CapEx investment results
  • Coordinate monthly balance-sheet reconciliations
  • Partner with leadership to shape strategic decisions while upholding financial discipline
  • Improve operational performance through reporting and variance analysis
  • Develop high-impact finance AI applications for predictive forecasting, anomaly detection, and risk management
  • Track emerging developments in financial technology and AI
  • Lead commercial analyses and prepare business cases for Operations and Delivery teams
  • Assess how business activities influence OpEx and CapEx drivers
  • Provide financial oversight for outsourced vendor agreements
  • Lead efforts to improve investment allocation, operating efficiency, and workflow processes
  • Follow corporate governance, compliance, and security requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline
  • At least five years of finance or related business experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation capabilities
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and communicate effectively with them
  • Strong knowledge of P&L management, margin analysis, and financial modeling
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with finance reporting platforms such as Essbase and Business Objects
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Three or more years managing operating expenses preferred
  • Three or more years of business-partnering experience preferred
