EV Charger Service Training Program Lead Partner – California Remote

California-based training provider to lead an EV charger service training grant proposal with WIL. Responsibilities include the CEC application, partner coordination, match funding, training delivery, and outcome reporting.

Description

  • Lead the application or consortium submission for GFO-26-601 through the CEC ECAMS portal, with WIL serving as a subrecipient partner
  • Deliver EV charger service training through an established program or expand the program to at least one cohort during the project term
  • Provide instructors with trade experience, relevant certifications, or journeyman status, along with labs and tools for hands-on instruction in electrical safety, including lockout/tagout
  • Provide training that leads to portable, industry-recognized credentials such as EVITP certification or California Department of Industrial Relations electrician certification
  • Bring together required partners, including a Worker Voice Representative, an Employer, and an Educational Provider, and secure their commitment letters
  • Manage the scope of work, schedule, budget, and required 25 percent match contribution, with drafting support from WIL
  • Collaborate with WIL on career pathways and job placement, while tracking completion, credentials, and employment outcomes for CEC reporting

Requirements

  • Must be a California community college, JATC, registered apprenticeship program, or another California organization eligible to apply under GFO-26-601; K-12 local educational agencies and investor-owned utilities are excluded
  • Must operate an established training program with qualified instructors and hands-on laboratory capacity for electrical or EV charging equipment work
  • Must be authorized and equipped to serve as the applicant, including ECAMS registration, budget and scope ownership, documentation of the 25 percent match, and commitment before the October 30, 2026 deadline
  • Preferred: Existing EV charging curriculum, EVITP-aligned instruction, an IBEW-NECA apprenticeship, or relationships with charger manufacturers
  • Preferred: Previous experience with CEC, California Workforce Development Board, or Employment Training Panel training grants
  • Preferred: Institutional or program accreditation from a recognized accrediting body
