Digital Biomarker Data Scientist - Parkinson's and Huntington's Disease, Vienna

Description

  • Lead statistical analyses to assess the psychometric properties, construct validity, test-retest reliability, and responsiveness of digital endpoints
  • Create and implement statistical analysis plans for clinical validation studies
  • Apply longitudinal models to assess disease progression and treatment effects
  • Develop approaches for non-compliance, variable device wear time, and missing remote-sensor data
  • Ensure validation processes align with DiME V3 and FDA digital health technology guidance
  • Act as a data science subject matter expert during pre-sales discussions, sponsor meetings, and scientific advisory boards
  • Partner with biopharma customers to understand development pipelines and design digital endpoint strategies
  • Convert statistical methods and validation findings into value propositions, sales materials, and proposals
  • Support customer questions on data interpretation and clinical trial design with scientific and statistical expertise
  • Provide quantitative evidence and statistical content for regulatory briefing packages
  • Write and contribute to peer-reviewed publications on digital readouts in Parkinson's and Huntington's disease
  • Create visual presentations and clinical narratives for multidisciplinary audiences

Requirements

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline
  • At least five years of practical data science or biostatistics experience focused on digital health technologies, digital biomarkers, or clinical trial outcome measures
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical validation, including analytical and clinical validation, psychometric assessment, longitudinal and mixed-effects models, and survival analysis
  • Strong experience with missing-data imputation, trajectory modeling, and noise reduction
  • Familiarity with the DiME V3 framework and FDA digital health technology guidance
  • Experience in customer-facing, scientific advisory, or pre-sales consulting roles in biopharma or digital health
  • Ability to interpret trial objectives and advise on endpoint integration strategies
  • Advanced Python skills, or equivalent R experience, for statistical modeling, visualization, and reproducible reporting
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Published peer-reviewed research and experience explaining technical concepts to executives and clinical teams
  • Knowledge of movement disorders or neurodegenerative diseases, including clinical rating scales, is preferred
  • Experience contributing to regulatory agency meetings is preferred
  • Basic understanding of time-series analysis or signal processing is preferred
