DevOps Engineer - Colorado Springs (Hybrid)

Build CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for TheIncLab’s defense and aerospace AI solutions. Deploy containerized applications while improving engineering workflows and developer productivity.

Description

  • Design and operate reliable, high-performance CI/CD pipelines
  • Support production deployments for web applications
  • Use cloud services, preferably AWS, to connect source repositories, artifact storage, and production environments within deployment pipelines
  • Automate CI/CD workflow triggers based on version-control branch changes
  • Diagnose and resolve build failures
  • Integrate and validate security and automated testing frameworks to support code quality and compliance
  • Research, design, and implement tools, methods, and infrastructure that strengthen CI/CD processes
  • Measure, monitor, and report pipeline reliability and performance
  • Support Agile practices, project structures, milestones, and deliverables
  • Champion DevOps and developer productivity practices across the engineering organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline
  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience focused on containerized web application development
  • At least 2 years of DevOps engineering experience, preferably including Kubernetes administration
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deploy CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, Travis, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI
  • Experience deploying pipelines on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with Git or comparable version-control systems and automated workflows triggered by code changes
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and Bash
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Docker-based containerized software
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, React, JavaScript, and web application deployment
  • Experience with semantic release and blue/green deployment strategies
  • Experience with Helm packages and container registries
  • U.S. citizenship and willingness and eligibility to obtain a Secret or Top Secret U.S. security clearance
  • Preferred qualifications include expertise designing automated pipelines; Kubernetes and Helm; Terraform or Ansible; CloudWatch, Grafana, or comparable monitoring tools; cloud-based event sourcing; Agile methods and JIRA; and DevOps or cloud certifications
