Collision General Manager - Chicago, IL (Onsite)
Lead revenue performance, production flow, staffing, and repair quality for Crash Champions in Chicago. Oversee technicians, estimates, payroll, and customer vehicle delivery at a collision repair location.
Description
- Drive location revenue and KPI performance by overseeing operations from vehicle intake through final delivery
- Manage shop throughput, repair quality, and production efficiency
- Allocate repair work to Body Technicians and prioritize vehicles for teardown or paint
- Assist with customer intake, vehicle check-in, and estimate writing during busy periods
- Maintain compliance with Crash Champions and I-CAR repair quality standards
- Verify accurate billing and enforce back-of-shop PPE procedures
- Handle payroll and staffing activities, including team PTO, vacation, and leave management
- Coordinate daily production and communication among Body Technicians, Collision Estimators, and Parts Managers
- Prepare DRP complaint estimates, revise estimates after damage discovery, and finalize locked estimates
- Interview, hire, coach, and develop team members
Requirements
- Strong collision repair industry knowledge, including insurance procedures and carrier requirements
- Sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead collaboratively toward shared team objectives
- Proven record of meeting deadlines and delivering successful results
- Working proficiency with estimating tools, including CCC ONE Total Repair Software
- Comfort using computers and other workplace technology
- Valid driver's license
