CIO Operations Analyst and Executive Assistant

Support Defense Health Agency CIO leadership at Peraton by managing executive calendars, travel, taskers, records, and senior leader engagements. This onsite Virginia role combines executive assistance with operations coordination for the J-6 CIO office.

Description

  • Maintain the Deputy CIO/PAE daily and long-range calendar
  • Arrange executive staff travel, including itineraries, Defense Travel System coordination, and engagement logistics
  • Coordinate senior leader engagements, external visits, and high-level events
  • Connect J-6/PAE senior leadership with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the wider J-6 CIO Executive Assistant team with administrative duties
  • Manage executive document control and records
  • Create and maintain standardized workflows, templates, and collaboration processes
  • Monitor executive taskers, suspense actions, and reporting requirements
  • Prepare executive meetings, organize read-aheads, record action items, and track follow-up
  • Complete other assigned tasks

Requirements

  • Bring at least five years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or nine years with a high school diploma
  • Have experience supporting senior executives, flag or general officers, Senior Executive Service personnel, or comparable leaders
  • Demonstrate the ability to act professionally as a liaison among senior leaders, staff offices, external organizations, and other stakeholders
  • Have experience organizing executive correspondence, records, files, and controlled document workflows under organizational governance requirements
  • Hold or obtain a favorable Tier 1 (Public Trust) investigation
  • Provide proof of U.S. citizenship
  • Prior experience with the Defense Health Agency, Military Health System, or Department of Defense is preferred
