Business Development Operations Manager

Support Contexture’s healthcare information exchange business development through Salesforce reporting, sales operations, conference coordination, and process management.

Description

  • Provide administrative support to Contexture’s Business Development, Operations, and Engagement Department.
  • Track sales and program data and report on forecasts and performance.
  • Build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards for department, regional, and individual performance metrics.
  • Source data to guide targeted outreach, engagement, and sales.
  • Enter data in relevant business applications.
  • Respond to external inquiries received through shared inboxes and voicemail.
  • Support sales and contracting, including preparing outreach documents and presentations.
  • Manage industry conference and event exhibits with the Marketing team.
  • Coordinate conference deadlines, registrations, schedules, staffing, budgets, planning meetings, supplies, giveaways, and follow-up communications.
  • Align conference materials, messaging, and themes with Marketing.
  • Research conference opportunities and coordinate events, conferences, and presentations.
  • Oversee corporate business development and growth memberships.
  • Create and maintain departmental SOPs, Salesforce desktops, onboarding and training materials, and related collateral.
  • Use Visio to document and improve workflows and handoffs between departments.
  • Collect information from internal teams and respond to general inquiries.
  • Handle operational, administrative, and other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Must live in Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; or Grand Junction, Colorado.
  • At least three years of consultative sales or consulting experience with payers and life insurance groups; healthcare IT or clinical experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or a related field; directly relevant work experience may be accepted instead.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Excel and Visio.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, partnering, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical analysis and strategic planning skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows.
  • Understanding of the health information exchange (HIE) landscape, including its functionality, health IT technology, and policy.
  • Record of managing a sales funnel and closing service contracts with payers, ideally nationwide.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, identify customer needs, and define value propositions.
  • Experience working comfortably with senior executives.
  • Excellent project management and advanced multitasking skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems; Salesforce knowledge is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-focused environment.
