Associate Engagement Manager, Insurance and Asset Management

Lead strategy and transformation projects for insurers and asset managers, overseeing workstreams, client presentations, and junior consultants at Oliver Wyman.

Description

  • Oversee delivery of project workstreams and engagements.
  • Plan and coordinate projects and workstreams.
  • Formulate hypotheses to guide project work.
  • Oversee data collection, model development, and analysis.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research.
  • Find ways to address information gaps and uncover insights.
  • Turn findings into clear written presentations.
  • Review presentations with clients and stakeholders.
  • Present written findings and deliverables to clients.
  • Help Partners deliver projects through accurate, high-quality execution.
  • Manage and develop junior consultants.
  • Assign tasks based on team members’ skills.
  • Review and refine project outputs and deliverables.
  • Coach junior consultants and give constructive feedback on consulting skills and insurance topics.

Requirements

  • Bring 4–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Have experience in insurance topics such as organizational design, strategic planning, product design, distribution, underwriting, policy or claims administration, claims, risk and capital management, pensions, or reinsurance.
  • Demonstrate a record of leading and managing teams and meeting tight deadlines in fast-paced, demanding environments.
  • Bring a strong foundation in strategic problem solving and demonstrable analytical skills.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hold an undergraduate or advanced degree from a leading academic program.
  • Be willing to travel.
  • Have unrestricted U.S. work authorization for U.S. office locations.
  • CPT and OPT are restricted forms of work authorization and are not accepted for this position.
  • Visa sponsorship is not offered.
