Associate Director of Business Development, Undersea Programs

Lead growth initiatives for RTX’s undersea defense sensor and effector programs. Shape customer engagement, campaign strategy, acquisition planning, and international business opportunities.

Description

  • Lead campaigns that expand Raytheon’s customer base for integrated undersea sensors and effectors
  • Create, secure leadership approval for, and deliver campaign strategies
  • Partner closely with the Raytheon Naval Systems & Sustainment Business Development Executive and Naval Power business units
  • Build relationships with domestic and international customers pursuing undersea sensor, effector, and integrated capabilities
  • Find, develop, and evaluate new undersea business opportunities
  • Establish and sustain relationships with prospective customers and their U.S. government counterparts
  • Advise on domestic and international customer procurement processes and acquisition strategies
  • Contribute to strategic planning and country strategy development
  • Prepare and submit requests for international licenses and agreements
  • Work with RTX Global Government Relations on federal, state, and local public policy as well as emerging technologies and solutions
  • Travel roughly 30% within the United States and internationally

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related discipline with at least 10 years of experience
  • Submarine-qualified officer at the O-6 level with command experience
  • Deep knowledge of Navy undersea operations, combat systems, sensors and effectors, and sonar array systems
  • At least 8 years of experience with U.S. Navy requirements, acquisition, NAVSEA program management, and/or OPNAV work is preferred
  • Demonstrated strategic judgment and a record of successful results
  • Ability to evaluate present and future maritime warfighting capabilities and requirements and create innovative solutions
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal communication, and mission-focused collaboration skills
  • An active Secret clearance is preferred
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a U.S. government security clearance
  • An active, existing security clearance is required after the first day
  • Approximately 30% domestic and international travel
