Associate Director, Global Scientific Content

Lead scientific content strategy for Madrigal’s MASH therapeutics, supporting compliant omnichannel communications, medical congresses, and collaboration across medical affairs.

Description

  • Develop, adapt, and distribute scientific content through multiple channels
  • Help shape digital and omnichannel content strategies for healthcare professionals and internal audiences
  • Maintain scientific accuracy, relevance, formatting, compliance, and alignment with communication platforms
  • Coordinate timely reviews and approvals, revising materials as needed
  • Apply scientific rigor and evidence-based decision-making
  • Work with Scientific Communications, Content, and Training teams, including Training managers
  • Coordinate content priorities with cross-functional and regional stakeholders
  • Partner with external vendors and collaborators to deliver required materials
  • Support launch preparation and medical affairs activities across the product lifecycle
  • Assess and prioritize scientific content requirements, including Health Systems materials
  • Support U.S. and global medical congresses, scientific content development, and training
  • Follow regulatory and industry requirements, company policies, ethical standards, and escalation procedures
  • Maintain ethical standards in interactions with external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare field, such as a BSc, MD, PharmD, PhD, or DNP
  • Substantial scientific expertise gained through professional experience or clinical practice
  • At least 3 years of headquarters-based work and/or Scientific Content experience
  • Ability to interpret, explain, and translate complex scientific information
  • Understanding of trends and developments in Scientific Content and Communications
  • Ability to plan, lead, and produce scientific content
  • Ability to collect evidence, influence cross-functional teams, and encourage innovation toward shared objectives
  • Ability to engage and develop strategies with business leaders and stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of U.S. and European healthcare systems, global regulatory standards such as FDA and CE, and medical affairs compliance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, virtual communication tools such as Zoom, and CRM platforms such as Veeva
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for conferences, company locations, and stakeholder meetings, including overnight travel
  • Preferred: Detailed knowledge of liver disease and experience in cardiometabolic health or MASH
  • Preferred: Adaptable, proactive approach in a fast-changing environment
