Asset Management Analyst – Salem, Oregon (Hybrid)

Manage financial reporting, compliance, risk, and preservation activities for an affordable multifamily housing portfolio. Support portfolio health, data integrity, and informed housing investment decisions across Oregon.

Description

  • Act as the agency’s contact for multifamily housing portfolios
  • Analyze audited financial statements and related financial reports
  • Safeguard agency investments and maintain accurate, consistent financial reporting
  • Monitor long-term property viability and regulatory compliance
  • Verify that project operations follow closing documents and applicable state and federal requirements
  • Assess multifamily portfolio health to reduce risk
  • Build community partnerships and support sustainable multifamily housing throughout the affordability period
  • Contribute to financial reporting, data quality, portfolio health, compliance, and risk monitoring
  • Give management and leadership visibility into portfolio performance for trend analysis and data-informed decisions
  • Coordinate asset analysis and preservation activities across multiple programs
  • Lead preservation coordination for publicly supported housing and support asset management for properties pursuing or receiving agency funding

Requirements

  • Five years of experience preparing or analyzing residential, commercial, or public-sector loan applications using cash flow, financial statements, historical and annual operating analyses, collections, or foreclosure procedures; processing real estate transactions; marketing, analyzing, servicing, or underwriting loans; or working in economic or community development
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field may replace three years of experience
  • An associate degree in real estate, finance, business administration, or a related field may replace 18 months of experience
  • Knowledge of affordable rental housing programs
  • Practical understanding of accounting principles
  • Exposure to regulatory requirements governing housing funding sources
  • Experience applying regulatory requirements for housing funding sources
  • Knowledge of affordable rental housing compliance practices
  • Understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements
  • Ability to work independently, make workload decisions, and contribute effectively to a team
  • Ability to communicate clearly, build partnerships, and reach consensus
  • Strong analytical ability focused on identifying financial risk
  • Awareness of race and social justice, with the ability to support equity, diversity, and inclusion
