AML Detection Quality Control Manager - KeyBank Hybrid

Lead AML detection quality control, alert-review accuracy, reporting, and analyst development at KeyBank. Hybrid role supporting financial-crime operations in the Buffalo or Cleveland areas.

Description

  • Lead and develop a team of AML Detection Quality Control Analysts
  • Direct daily quality-control operations and ensure timely alert disposition reviews
  • Administer scorecards and oversee review quality, feedback, analytical accuracy, documentation, procedures, and escalations
  • Analyze quality trends, recurring deficiencies, systemic issues, and emerging risks; create action plans and escalate concerns
  • Act as an independent control partner to AML Detection leadership, Risk, Compliance, Training, Quality Assurance, and related stakeholders
  • Produce and present quality reports, scorecards, dashboards, trend analyses, capacity insights, and executive updates
  • Drive or support process improvements, procedure revisions, technology changes, automation, and change management
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, regulatory examinations, control documentation, issue remediation, and management responses
  • Oversee employee development, production management, quality reporting, procedure ownership, audit support, and escalation management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • At least five years of experience in AML detection or investigations
  • At least two years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience
  • Working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering controls, suspicious activity detection, transaction monitoring, and financial-crime risk management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to influence partners across multiple departments
  • Experience interpreting policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations
  • Proficiency with reporting tools, Microsoft Office applications, and case management systems
  • Experience managing or supporting a quality-control or quality-assurance function
  • Experience in Financial Crimes Risk Management or a comparable environment
  • Relevant certifications, such as CAMS or CFCS
