AI Product Engineer, Industrial AI — Singapore
Build and deploy machine learning and LLM solutions for industrial manufacturing at Evonik in Singapore. Lead AI projects from initial problem definition through production integration, optimization, research, and operational enablement.
Description
- Build, implement, and move AI solutions into production across industrial manufacturing environments.
- Use data and model analysis to identify and deliver process optimization opportunities.
- Lead AI initiatives from defining the problem through integrating solutions into operational workflows.
- Enhance existing solutions and develop new methods, products, and technologies for research and development.
- Train and support employees in applying artificial intelligence.
- Plan and deliver projects, coordinating external service providers within established governance requirements.
- Advise stakeholders, maintain reporting, and improve standards, methods, and tools.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in technical consulting, enablement, and implementing data- and AI-driven workflows in operational settings.
- Background developing, operating, and scaling production-ready machine learning and AI systems.
- Practical experience with modern machine learning and LLM techniques, including prompt engineering and agent-based systems.
- Experience connecting AI solutions with existing tools and system environments.
- Strong understanding of machine learning and LLM models, their lifecycles, validation processes, and limitations.
- Knowledge of contemporary cloud architectures and their application to AI and machine learning workloads.
- Advanced Python skills.
- Professional experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of process modeling and simulation.
- Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code.
- Ability to combine simulation, machine learning, and optimization techniques.
- Foundational knowledge of operations research.
- Collaborative, accountable team player with a hands-on approach and strong communication skills in interdisciplinary and intercultural settings.
