  • Lead Blackboard’s global events strategy, calendar, prioritization model, budget, and operating infrastructure.
  • Select conferences, owned events, and partner activations that support go-to-market objectives.
  • Develop event categories that distinguish pipeline generation from retention and expansion programs.
  • Oversee budgets, forecasts, ROI reporting, vendors, contract negotiations, and agency or contract staff engagements.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics, including venues, vendors, registration, booth and experience design, staffing, shipping, onsite delivery, and post-event closeout.
  • Create repeatable execution playbooks for different event formats and regions.
  • Manage local and contract event staff as needed.
  • Plan pre-event outreach, registration campaigns, onsite engagement, and post-event follow-up.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Marketing on demand generation and account-based targeting.
  • Partner with Customer Marketing on nurture programs connected to adoption, retention, and cross-sell goals.
  • Develop operational partnerships with Sales, Customer Success Managers, Sales Enablement, and Solution Engineering.
  • Produce event-specific enablement resources and feedback processes for Sales and Customer Success teams.
  • Define targets for pipeline, meetings, customer interactions, and new contacts.
  • Maintain event performance reporting connected with Salesforce and HubSpot where applicable.
  • Lead post-event reviews and present performance and ROI findings to marketing leadership.
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing, Revenue Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Marketing Operations on positioning, attribution, lead routing, and data capture.

आवश्यकताएँ

  • 8–10 years of event marketing experience, including ownership of global programs that generate measurable pipeline.
  • Experience developing and managing events that create new-logo pipeline, preferably in higher education and/or business and government markets.
  • Strong knowledge of the higher education events calendar, including EDUCAUSE, regional consortia, government technology conferences, and sector-specific gatherings.
  • Demonstrated ability to build structured working relationships with Sales, Customer Success Managers, Sales Enablement, and Solution Engineering.
  • Experience managing six- or seven-figure event budgets, negotiating vendor agreements, and presenting ROI to senior leaders.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with experience creating playbooks and coordinating multiple concurrent events across regions.
  • Experience measuring event performance through CRM pipeline tracking and structured post-event analysis.
  • Experience managing contract and local event staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the country where the role is based must be maintained throughout employment.
