Tavsif
- Advise the business on patents, trade secrets, licensing, technology development, and intellectual property transactions with a practical, commercially focused approach.
- Draft, review, and negotiate technology development, research collaboration, confidentiality, licensing, joint development, and other IP agreements.
- Join business and functional discussions to assess intellectual property risks and identify opportunities.
- Create and execute intellectual property strategies that support business priorities and innovation objectives.
- Develop and oversee patent portfolios, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
- Direct external counsel supporting patent drafting and prosecution.
- Deliver legal training and educational sessions for clients.
- Partner with legal colleagues, business and functional stakeholders, and non-legal teams.
- Maintain proactive communication with Legal leadership and clients.
- Assign work effectively to paralegals and other support staff.
- Oversee outside counsel and other external resources in accordance with Legal department policies.
Talablar
- Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree.
- At least four years of in-house or major law firm experience practicing intellectual property law.
- Admission to a state bar, or eligibility for admission.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Registration to practice before the USPTO.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship or support is not available.
- Preferred: at least five years of demonstrated intellectual property law experience with a major law firm or corporation.
- Preferred: experience in the chemical industry or representing companies in chemical manufacturing matters.
- Preferred: strong academic credentials from law school.
