Opis

  • Assess engineers and projects against delivery standards and client and team needs.
  • Collect quality-of-work feedback from client engineering and product managers.
  • Hold regular one-to-ones, give direct feedback, and create career-path development plans.
  • Identify promotion candidates, prepare promotion cases, and support engineers pursuing leadership roles.
  • Partner with Engineering Leads on performance reviews and coaching.
  • Build engineers’ engagement with Space Inch and spot retention risks early.
  • Act as Space Inch’s senior client contact for people performance and impact.
  • Set client expectations and explain the partnership’s value.
  • Help engineers handle changing priorities, unclear ownership, and unrealistic timelines.
  • Improve communication between Space Inch and the client.
  • Review adherence to established AI practices, support improvements, and share effective approaches across the team.
  • Learn the client’s applications and business context to offer informed input to its managers.

Zahteve

  • Bring at least 10 years of experience in engineering and people leadership, engagement or account management, or technical project or product management in an agency, consultancy, nearshore, or client-embedded setting.
  • An engineering background is preferred but not required.
  • Understand modern software development, including the software development lifecycle, common architectures, and technology stacks.
  • Be able to follow engineers’ work and engage with client engineering and product managers; coding is not required.
  • Show curiosity about the client’s business and learn its domain, applications, and workflows.
  • Assess performance using standards, evidence, and feedback from multiple sources, then turn findings into practical coaching.
  • Communicate and mediate exceptionally across written, asynchronous, live, and cross-cultural settings.
  • Demonstrate success helping engineers grow from junior to senior and from individual contributor roles toward leadership.
  • Have experience working with senior client stakeholders, gathering feedback, managing expectations, and showing the value team members provide.
  • Use AI fluently as a practical work tool and assess engineers’ AI practices.
  • Have led distributed or remote teams, including people who work largely independently.
