Opis

  • Manage a portfolio of delinquent mortgage, home equity, and other real estate-secured accounts.
  • Contact members, assess account circumstances, and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Collect payments, arrange payment plans, monitor commitments, and follow up on missed promises.
  • Prioritize accounts by risk, balance, age, and urgency.
  • Manage accounts through resolution, workout, foreclosure, or recovery, maintaining consistent follow-through.
  • Document delinquency causes and assess borrowers’ financial circumstances and repayment capacity.
  • Process hardship reviews, loan modifications, forbearance, repayment plans, and other loss mitigation options.
  • Handle foreclosure and default tasks, including notices, deadlines, referrals, and legal milestone follow-up.
  • Administer bankruptcy-related accounts and coordinate legal questions with counsel.
  • Resolve issues involving property taxes, insurance, collateral protection, valuations, liens, and property conditions.
  • Meet secondary-market and investor-specific default servicing requirements.
  • Coordinate with Mortgage Servicing, Legal, outside counsel, investors, and approved vendors.
  • Record member contacts, financial details, commitments, notices, approvals, restrictions, decisions, referrals, and next steps.
  • Complete assigned worklists, follow-up, processing, notices, and reporting within required deadlines.
  • Review portfolio and workflow trends and recommend ways to reduce losses and strengthen portfolio quality.
  • Contribute to cross-training, onboarding, backup coverage, quality efforts, and process improvements.

Zahteve

  • Bring 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in collections, mortgage servicing, real estate default, loan servicing, or asset recovery.
  • Have experience independently managing delinquent accounts and resolving complex member or borrower situations.
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED.
  • Understand collections practices, delinquency management, payment arrangements, and account resolution.
  • Review financial information, identify key facts, assess repayment capacity, and recognize when formal approval is needed.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, time management, attention to detail, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and conversation, including during difficult member discussions.
  • Work independently across real estate collections and default responsibilities within documented training and authority.
  • Use standard office technology and learn collection, servicing, communication, and workflow systems.
  • Have working knowledge of applicable collections and mortgage-servicing rules, loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy restrictions, property tax and collateral matters, and investor requirements.
  • Be able to sit for extended periods, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
