Director, Global Scientific and Value Content – Payor

Lead global scientific and value content strategy for payor medical affairs at MSD. Oversee scientific planning, payer-focused content, cross-functional programs, analysis, and team development.

Descriere

  • Define and guide V&I Plans and the Scientific Platform
  • Develop, prioritize, and deliver annual GSVC product plans aligned with V&I Plans and the Scientific Platform
  • Engage stakeholders and integrate medical insights into product planning
  • Direct the development, review, approval, and communication of GSVC content
  • Create or delegate medical information letters, FAQs, disease and product slide decks, congress booth materials, and digital medical content
  • Evaluate materials for scientific accuracy, relevance, appropriate literature, internal information, and company standards
  • Coordinate stakeholder input for content development, review, and approval, including CRT prioritization and reviewed-content management for the Payor team
  • Communicate approved materials to Medical Information and Global Medical and Scientific Affairs stakeholders
  • Develop globally reusable materials with Outcomes Research and address payer-landscape requirements
  • Act as a subject-matter expert and lead complex product projects and initiatives
  • Mentor and support GSVC P3/P4 staff and newly hired V&I GMVC team members
  • Lead internal training on GSVC disease and product content
  • Collaborate globally with Publications, Medical Directors, Payor and Health System Medical Affairs, Compliance, PDT, Outcomes Research, MSLs, and other stakeholders
  • Direct complex cross-functional initiatives and departmental process improvements
  • Write and maintain SOPs and lead organizational or cross-organizational initiatives
  • Coordinate coverage and contribute as a medical writer for Global Input Meetings
  • Provide strategic direction on complex issues, escalations, regulatory and compliance matters, and team objectives
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses and communicate findings
  • Lead onboarding and training for core functions
  • Promote change, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration

Cerințe

  • MD, PharmD, or PhD with at least five years of relevant Medical Affairs experience; or MSN, BS in Pharmacy, or MS in Life Sciences with at least 10 years of relevant Medical Affairs experience; or BS in Nursing or Life Sciences with at least 15 years of relevant Medical Affairs experience
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare systems and payer processes and environments
  • Relevant pharmaceutical-industry experience in Medical Affairs or Outcomes Research
  • Demonstrated leadership through initiatives, mentoring, process improvement, and innovation
  • Excellent scientific writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build networks, set priorities, and collaborate across functions
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Effective multitasking and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with global health systems and expertise in payer organizations
  • Experience leading multiple global or regional Medical or Scientific Affairs Plans
  • Experience with promotional review or medical and legal review processes
  • Ability to create or present scientific content for scientific exchange with external customers
  • Ability to negotiate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working across geographies with varying regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Broad knowledge spanning multiple related therapeutic areas
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to turn strategy into action plans
  • Established mentoring experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, global, team-based organization
