Apraksts

  • Manage daily finance department operations.
  • Oversee accounts payable, scholarship and grant disbursements, card charges, and payroll entries.
  • Reconcile cash and investment accounts weekly and monthly.
  • Record ACH and card deposits and identify expenses that have not been recorded.
  • Work with the CFO to complete monthly closes.
  • Prepare financial reporting and analysis for organizational leaders.
  • Coordinate with the Program team to disburse scholarship funds accurately and on time.
  • Help scholars navigate the payment process.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and records for year-end audit readiness.
  • Coordinate the annual external audit.
  • Use technology, including AI, to assess and improve finance processes.
  • Align financial practices across departments to support organizational growth.
  • Improve financial data governance across the organization.
  • Manage and develop one coordinator-level direct report.
  • Report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Prasības

  • At least seven years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with nonprofit fund accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in place of a degree.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with accounts payable and payment platforms such as Bill.com.
  • Comfort using AI tools to streamline routine tasks.
  • A systems-focused approach and ability to improve or automate processes and tools.
  • Strong financial reporting and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to explain financial information clearly to colleagues outside finance.
  • Hands-on experience preparing for and coordinating an annual financial audit.
  • Familiarity with data governance practices.
  • Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to manage day-to-day accounting work.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, or developing staff.
  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive financial and personal information.
  • Passion for Point Foundation's mission and enthusiasm for communicating its philosophy, mission, and values.
  • Commitment to advancing equity and inclusion.
  • Preferred: degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: experience designing or rebuilding finance workflows.
  • Preferred: experience in a small finance team where responsibilities span multiple areas.
