  • Create UI screens, menus, and HUD elements in Unreal Engine with UMG and widget Blueprints, turning artwork and UX specifications into polished, functional interfaces.
  • Develop reusable widgets and scalable UI structures that preserve visual consistency and enable efficient iteration.
  • Build UI animations, transitions, interactive feedback, and navigation for controller, keyboard, and mouse input.
  • Work with Artists, Designers, and Engineers to connect interfaces with gameplay systems and data while maintaining the intended visual quality and player experience.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and optimise interfaces for performance across resolutions, aspect ratios, localisation, and accessibility requirements.
  • Refine and document UI implementation workflows, tools, and technical guidelines.

  • Demonstrated experience implementing in-game interfaces as a UI Technical Artist, Technical UI Designer, UI Implementation Artist, or in a comparable position.
  • Hands-on experience developing Unreal Engine interfaces with UMG, widget Blueprints, and UI presentation logic.
  • A portfolio, showreel, or practical examples of implemented UI that clearly describe your technical contribution.
  • Strong knowledge of widget layouts, scaling, reusable components, animation, and interactive states, combined with close attention to visual detail.
  • Understanding of UI performance considerations and a systematic approach to diagnosing technical problems.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, together with enthusiasm for creating intuitive, engaging player experiences.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5, Common UI, and UI materials or shaders is desirable.
  • Experience delivering PC or console interfaces, including accessibility and localisation support, is desirable.
  • Familiarity with C++, scripting, or tool development for improving UI workflows and supporting collaboration with Engineers is desirable.
