Senior Java Backend Engineer (Spring Boot)
Maintain Java and Spring Boot systems for mobility and rail travel, resolve production incidents, and support migration to a new mobility platform.

- Operate and evolve legacy Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch components.
- Investigate and resolve complex incidents across distributed services.
- Help keep mean time to recovery below one hour and prevent critical regressions.
- Bring Clean Code and testing pyramid practices to legacy code.
- Expand automated test coverage to support reliable GitLab CI deployments.
- Record complex business rules for pricing, ticketing, and regional variations.
- Coordinate with the new mobility engine teams to support migration.
- Take part in the Feature Team’s Agile Scrum or Kanban and DevOps ceremonies.

- Master’s degree in computer science, from an engineering school or university, or equivalent qualification.
- Four to six years of backend Java development experience.
- Substantial experience operating and maintaining applications in production.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Practical experience with Spring Batch.
- Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs.
- Experience with SOAP web services.
- MongoDB skills in data modeling, querying, and performance tuning.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as JUnit and Mockito, and with Clean Code practices.
- Experience with Git and GitLab CI.
- Ability to analyze production incidents using logs and monitoring, and resolve complex bugs.
- Rigor and composure when handling incidents.
- Service-minded approach and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to explain and share knowledge, with strong written communication skills.
- Teamwork, independence, and curiosity about business rules.
